This protected woodland park features Hammond Pond for great fishing, numerous hiking trails and formations of sandstone conglomerate and Roxbury puddingstone for excellent rock climbing.
By Car:Take Route 9 east or west to the Hammond Pond Parkway Exit. Just north of the Parkway is the reservation parking lot on the left as one enters the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center. Lost Pond is south off Hammond Pond Parkway. Reservation can be accessed through Newton Conservation Land off Dudley Road.
